EquiHooks are specifically engineered to adhere to magnetic surfaces, such as steel, iron, or other ferrous metals commonly found in equestrian environments. However, it’s important to note that they won’t stick to non-magnetic metals like aluminum or stainless steel.

While EquiHooks are suitable for outdoor use, it’s important to note that prolonged exposure to moisture or harsh weather conditions may result in some rust formation on the magnets. As rust-proof magnets are not feasible due to their magnetic properties, occasional rusting may occur over time when exposed to outdoor elements. However, this should not affect the functionality or performance of the EquiHooks. Regular maintenance, such as wiping down the magnets and keeping them dry, can help increase the lifetime of your EquiHook.

Horse safety is paramount when it comes to EquiHooks.

Our hooks are meticulously designed with your horse’s well-being in mind. Crafted from durable plastic with a honeycomb structure inside, they are lightweight yet sturdy, ensuring durability without compromising on weight and minimizing the risk of injury in case of accidental contact.

The magnets are securely fastened using stainless steel and zinc machinery screws, carefully selected to ensure stability without sharp points that could pose a danger to horses.

Ferromagnetic metals like iron, steel, and nickel provide the best hold for our magnetic hooks. These metals allow magnetic lines of force to pass through them easily, ensuring a strong and secure grip.

It depends on the type of stainless steel. 400 series stainless steels are typically magnetic and work well with our hooks, while 300 series stainless steels are usually not magnetic. To test, you can use a fridge magnet; if it sticks, our hooks should work well.

Non-ferromagnetic metals like aluminum, brass, copper, and zinc do not provide a strong magnetic hold. Additionally, thin metal sheets may not support the weight as effectively as thicker ones.

For surfaces that don’t provide a strong hold, you can add a ferromagnetic plate or strip to the area where you want to place the hook. This can enhance the magnetic grip and improve performance.

Ensure that the metal surface is clean and free from dust or debris. Checking the thickness of the metal surface can also help, as thicker surfaces generally provide better magnetic hold.

Look for ferromagnetic surfaces such as steel tack room doors, iron gate latches, and metal feed bins in your stable yard. These surfaces provide optimal support and ensure a strong hold for our magnetic hooks.

We dispatch all orders within 2 working days, if this should not be possible for any reason we will be in touch via email.

Shipping times vary on location, but a rough guide is as follows:

UK – 48 hours (Royal Mail 48hr tracked)

Europe – 3-5 working days (Royal Mail International Tracked)

Rest of the World – 6-7 working days (Royal Mail International Tracked)

Whilst we will make every effort to accomodate your changes prior to shipping, we unfortunatley cannot make changes after your order has been dispatched.

You have up to 14 days after the date of your order to notify us of your decision, and a further 14 days after that to return your order to us.
